I live in lake Havasu City AZ. I mounted my temperature sender where it’s not exposed to the sun and the temperature reading in the summer is always 6 degrees hotter than all weather apps. Is this normal?
There are many things which can effect temperature. Without knowing more about your siting it is difficult to know the answer to your question. Remember, too, that weather apps don’t get the temperature at your location so it doesn’t surprise me that they have a different value than you are seeing. Can you post a picture showing how you have your sensor sited?

You’d have to have some kind of reference thermometer or the like in the exact same location to know if the WF gear is on the money or not. You can’t typically rely on surrounding stations, which might (not) be sited well.
