Now I have my skycam looking upward, I started wondering about the condensation stripes left behind by planes flying over. If one knows the height of the plane, what does the appearance of the stripe tell us, most notably when they stay visible for a long time? Is there anything interesting, weatherwise, that can be learned from the stripes?
