Before I lost power, my Tempest recorded a gust of 25 mph and 0.35 inches of rain. With that in mind, it’s only 8 feet high and my house and trees block some of the wind. In reality, we saw gusts up to 50 mph in my neighborhood.

The weather overnight was horrible. Norfolk/Virginia Beach was under tornado warnings from 1am-6am this morning.
Back when I used to chase tornadoes a warning ment one was sighted and a watch meant conditions were good for developing a tornado. Today I have no idea what these terms mean.
Warnings are now issued if they are radar indicatored such as having a “hook” signature.
