Which car mount is the best?

I’m planning on getting one remote tempest and put it on my car for different outdoor events. I’m not going to drive around with the Tempest on top of the car btw. Which mount would you think will work best? My car is box shaped so the roof is flat. Thought about getting this mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077LMLG35/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_pIZXEbG3XFSGE

depending what you want to measure, I’d try to find some little pole to get the Tempest stick out of the car. Heat from the car will influence the sensor and even wind will be everything except correct as wind will bounce, flow around your car … even the heat in the sun might generate upwards wind … Try to find something that sticks about 3-4 feet above the car (in static condition). Maybe in combination with the magnet …

Good points…but I haven’t found anything with that kind of height. This would probably help some but not much…

Look at the shipping time, if you want it before the summer.

They also sell a 36" length in both zinc and stainless, but I think that the lever length of a 36" rod might over-power the magnet on a windy day…

Or use a pushup pole and one of these to support the mount:

There are other manufacturers with very similar products.

The company I got the pole and holder I pictured on your FB post has many different pole and holder options including some drive-on mounts. I use the 20’ fiberglass pole but the shorter one would probably work for you, too. The Tempest pole mount will not fit on the top pole section so I just use the one it fits on (3rd from the top, IIRC).

Thanks for all the responses! I hope the remote Tempest can be sent out before the end of summer.
