Smart Weather Network map issue (solved)

I discovered an anomaly on the WeatherFlow Smart Weather Network (beta) map. This behavior is the same in MS Edge and Firefox.

When viewing https://smartweather.weatherflow.com/map/60.0659/-133.428/4 I get the following:Weather%20Flow%20Smart%20Weather%20map%20issue

Sliding the map to the left a little to https://smartweather.weatherflow.com/map/59.3567/-122.5296/4 finally shows some stations: Weather%20Flow%20Smart%20Weather%20map%20issue%20(slid%20map%20to%20the%20left)

@gizmoev No issues viewing on ipad / safari!

I should have changed window size. I’ll have to test that out. It may be particular window sizes. I think Safari uses a different rendering engine than Edge or Firefox.

Just tested, Firefox App on Ipad works fine too.

I think on Microsoft Edge it is a bug in the browser. I have found that if the browser window size has issues. There seems to be a something with the size of the window as large widths.

Clicking the link that the OP provided also shows no stations on Chrome. It does the same when moving the map to other locations around the world too.

My screen res: 3840 x 2160

@gizmoev Thanks for reporting this and for providing the URL. I can reproduce this issue and will work on getting a fix pushed soon! I’ll keep you posted.

Corrine, this morning, I was looking at the stations in my area and was comparing their data - to see the differences and similarities between the stations. I quickly realized there was one important bit of data missing from the sidebar.

May I make the suggestion that the station elevation be provided in the sidebar.

Also, would it be possible to add a command to the URL (to the map) where one could request that the satellite image of the map be immediately displayed rather than having to go through the menu, such as, for example:

https://smartweather.weatherflow.com/map/48.7473/-123.7952/9/satellite

Thanks, Ray

Corrine, the map (still at the beta stage) is already great but with a few additions (such as those suggested) the map will be even GREATER:grin:

Even more interesting, add an option to select a single parameter like temperature, or rainfall and display that number for all the stations on the map.

Corrine, may I suggest that the ‘Get a station’ link on the top right corner of the map page be replaced with something more meaningful such as ‘Buy a WeatherFlow station’ - I thought the ‘Get a station’ was there to allow the search of a specific WeatherFlow weather station using its ID number… …which would also have been a good idea…

Thanks, Ray. I’ll pass this feedback along.

@gizmoev We made an update yesterday that should fix the marker loading issue you were previously seeing.

That seems to have fixed the issue.
