Rain Measurments

Hi, I’m new to having my own rain measurment device. i have always had a rain gauge that measured in 1/4 in., 1/2 in. 3/4 in. …
My Tempest tells me I have 0.19 in of rain. I’m not sure what that is. Would .25 in. be a 1/4 in. of rain?
Does anyone know of an image that shows 0.01 to 1".

I admit it is surprising you didn’t learn the relation between fraction and decimals
You can search the internet for examples and maybe some learning

here is already an example site but there are many more that can help you understand how it works

Just use a calculator and enter the top number and divide by the bottom number. Think of the standard division sign, ÷, as a fraction with a dot above and a dot below. The line between the two numbers in a fraction is the division sign.

Another way to think about is in terms of money. Many countries use a dollar as a unit and the value after is the cents. In US currency, $0.25 is 1/4 of a dollar and is represented by a coin called a quarter.
