Lost communication for 5 hours

Is anyone else having communication troubles today ? My station went down about 4 this morning. It just came back online. Nothing I did or didn’t do. Really weird it’s never done that before.

TIA
Phillip

I’m so used to this. Rarely a week goes by where I don’t get the station down routine. Sometimes it just comes back on its own and other times I need to relink it with the router. I have no idea why this happens with such frequency. Nothing else in my network does this.

oh wow. mine hasn’t gone down like it did today ever. It’s been up for 8 months. Guess I’m lucky!

Do you have your 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs the same? I’ve heard some people have had to have separate names for the WF hub to stay connected reliably. I have Aruba access points and have not had any issues with both frequency’s SSIDs the same.

well I do actually. now that you say that I have recently had some other devices that are connecting to the 2.4 randomly. I’ll give them different names and see what happens ! Thanks

I don’t believe I have separate names for the 2.4 & 5. I do have a separate name for the ‘guest’ link. I’ve often thought of just connecting it to the guest link where there’s nothing else on it but my car.

It is definitely worth trying. IIRC, that is what some others have done.

Thanks Dave, I’ll give it a try.

@rpljal7273 There was a firmware update roll-out. If your Hub went offline, please try power cycling: unplug for a few moments and then plug back in. It should automatically reconnect to the WiFi network.

@vidguy7 is your Hub connected directly to your router’s WiFi network or is it connected through some access point/range extender?

Mine is connected via a Google 3 device router.

For the past few days my system is reporting offline. I keep rebooting it and it only lasts a few hours. I am gathering they did another upgrade that is making the hub unstable.

Is there a fix?

It looks like the Hub is losing connection with the devices. Try moving the Hub to a different location.

The hub is within 25 ft of the sky unit. it is over 50 ft from the temp unit which is on line and not dropped. The Hub is as close to the sky as It can be, right on the window sill closest to the sky unit.

The radio levels look good. You may have a defective unit. Create a ticket so tech support will have a look at it.
