I think that’s a different kind of “invite” (internal) that is for inviting existing users to join a topic.
Try the “share” link from the homepage, or just email someone the homepage address directly: https://community.tempest.earth/

It could be each Discourse community is different. And WeatherFlow is set up to get the sign-in from the app. To darn many new changes in Discourse. LOL
