Interpreting Rain Data

Looking for some guidance here.

I have an application that I would like to display the amount of rain accumulated as of the current timestamp.

Which of the JSON data-points expresses that?
The 2 outlined below seem very close until you get a lot of rain then they diverge.

Observation shows the phone app uses “precip_accum_local_day_final” but that is counter to the heading . . .

Thank you in advance!!

the final one is after raincheck has been applied.

Thank you for the response.
I still don’t really understand. What is the “raincheck”?

Maybe my thinking is wrong:
If I had a rain gauge tube, it just accumulates rain; what is the “raincheck” that adds to that measurment?

Hi Steve
