I need help with SKY pole mount

I am so frustrated. My station is reporting almost 4" of rain today and there isn’t a cloud in the sky. Just some wind. I have my SKY mounted on a 10.5’ galvanized pole - the one many people are recommending. It is filled with sand. NOWHERE I mount it stops the false rain. I mounted it to a 7’ 4x4 driven into the ground. Next I pounded the metal pole directly into the ground. As a last resort, I removed the SKY and I mounted it directly to the top of the wooden 4x4. Same results each time. I thought maybe the bird spikes were inducing rain, so I removed those. Nope. Now I’m thinking it may be the solar accessory. I can’t pull that at the moment - I have no batteries. I’m totally open to suggestions!
