Hub stopped transmitting UDP data on loss of WAN

@dsj

I shut off the router and left Wi-Fi up and discovered Hub A continued to transmit UDP data but Hub B stopped transmitting UDP data. Once WAN was restored, Hub B started transmitting UDP data again.

Archiving RapidWind data actually does have a benefit. :wink:

You can see this in the data captured which is sorted in ascending order (newest on top for you Steeler Fans)

c2

This confirms the previous bug where the data from devices is not sent via UDP

Why is RapidWind data sent but observation data is not sent?

Hi Gary,

Looks like the hub was too aggressive trying to reconnect to the servers when the internet is down. We made the hub so it’ll fail faster when trying to reconnect to the servers and only try and reconnect when it’s not busy processing other requests. Your description and information about the problem really helped with tracking down the issue.

Thanks for your help,
-Rob
