Odd newbie question. I have had my Tempest for almost a month. Due to this thing called work, I have not been able to get my Tempest mounted and operational. So my question is two part. Part one, How long will my Tempest battery hold it’s charge? Part two, Can I turn my Tempest on without setting it up and leave it in the sun for a couple of days to recharge the battery till I can get it mounted and online? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When the Tempest is off, the battery is disconnected from everything so it should last a very long time. Yes, you can turn it on and leave it in the sun to charge it. I wouldn’t bother just to charge it if it is off. You could mount it to a railing or something down low, set it up, and move it to a permanent location later.
