Highest Battery Charge question

I think this may have been addresses before but my new/replacement tempest will not go higher than 2.76 Volts.

I don’t think this is a problem since there is not much difference between 2.80 and my value… but I just want to make sure that it does not indicate a problem.

It has no issues in going from 2.62 to 2.76 in a couple of hours with the morning sunshine.

Thanks,

George

We have had 5 days of sunshine here in the Chicago area with single digit temp and I am seeing it top off at 2.81 volts:

https://community.tempest.earth/t/tempest-charging-questions/6522/169 … “A full charge is around 2.7-2.8 V, but that quickly drops to around 2.6 once charging is removed. Then it slowly drops at a “nominal” discharge rate for a couple weeks.” . So, 2.76 volts is great.

As others have pointed out, your Tempest charging is just fine. There is very little energy between 2.6V and 2.8V in an LTO battery. To read the official WeatherFlow comment on this check out https://help.weatherflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048877194

Thanks for the information. The other Tempest I had went to 2.83 but it had to be returned because it developed battery charging issues… so may lesss than 2.80 is better than greater
